Loring Park Neighbourhood Mystery
Loring Park, downtown-adjacent Minneapolis — pond, garden, and Willow Street.
A family street-and-park hunt beside downtown. Start at the Community Arts Center, stay on paths and sidewalks, and notice the pond, the garden, and which way the city is. Play the premade sheet as-is, or (soon) put your kids’ names on it.
Based on Neighbourhood Mystery by QuestHunt. Works on Loring Park paths and Willow Street sidewalks. The original still lives at Neighbourhood Mystery.

The outing (very short)
What you’ll actually do
- 01
Pick a starting corner
Meet at Loring Community Arts Center on Willow Street. This is a walk, not a crime story.
- 02
Play the place hints
Use the hint sheet on this page. Pond, garden, Willow Street, a look at the Basilica if the towers show. Skip anything that doesn’t fit today.
- 03
Make it yours
When personalize ships, put the kids’ names on the clues. Until then, say the names out loud and play this neighbourhood’s hints.

Place notes
A downtown park with a pond
- Loring Park is a real Minneapolis park in the Loring Park neighbourhood, next to downtown. The official park is Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Loring Park. Loring Pond sits in the middle. The Garden of the Seasons is north of the pond footbridge.
- The park paths and sidewalks are outdoor and generally free to walk. Hours, parking, and seasonal conditions change. Check the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board before you go. Last checked August 2026.
- This edition names a place so parents can see where to stand. It is not a house tour. More Minneapolis outings live on the city hub. The original still works on any walkable streets.

Hints that only work here
Each box is something you can notice at this park, plus a short true thing about the place. Kid voice is on the sheet. The anywhere clues still live on Neighbourhood Mystery. Nothing is uploaded. Refreshing the page clears the checks.
Park photo slot — empty until we add a mixed-media still of this place.

I started on Willow Street. The mystery is this downtown park — paths and sidewalks only, and the pond already knows it isn’t Longfellow.
